Lyrics
A few days ago, we saw a teaser of a new game show that's premiering on TV. The show is called Singing Bee, the objective of which is to fill in the blanks in a lyrics of a song. Now, I know there was a similar game show in the Philippines a few years back; I have no idea if that show is still running, but I digress.
Anyway, tonight, there was a similar show on, and since there wasn't anything else to watch, we tuned in. On the commercial break, D, on the way to the kitchen, probably inspired by the show, suddenly said, "Ah-ha-ha-ha..." to which A piped in without pause, "Stayin' alive, stayin' alive."

A few years back, I used to listen to this radio station that played alternative music in San Jose. Now this station had the habit of playing the same songs over and over, about once every couple of hours or so, so it was possible to hear the same song repeated over the course of the day. D was so familiar with the songs, she would usually sing along with them. Generation gap was practically slapped to me when she sang along with Bowling for Soup's 1985, "Springsteen, McDonald's/Way before Nirvana..." only, it was supposed to be Madonna. I told her the correct lyrics, and she answered, "Who's Madonna?"

J has all the Parokya ni Edgar songs on a CD in his car. Now A has taken to singing "Sorry Na" when she apologizes. It was funny the first time she did it. Nobody prodded her; in fact, I was ignoring her because I was really mad at her. She just stood next to me and kept on calling out, "Mommy, mommy, sorry. Mommy, sorry." Then before I knew it, she was singing, "Sorry na/Kung nagalit ka/Di naman sinasadya..." Now explain to me how I can stay mad at her.
