Jedi Power

You know the automatic doors to establishments with motion sensors? We have long convinced the girls that we use Jedi Powers to open them. Yeah, I know. Geeky.

But the girls really are convinced. One time, we encountered a door with a very low sensitivity sensor and would not open until we got really close. A was convinced her Jedi Powers were running out! The solution was simple, though. We rubbed her hands so some of our Jedi powers would rub off on her. And she bought it!

And the Jedi Mind Trick? Hubby would do it on anyone, for the sake of fun. I didn't realize how much the girls have picked up on it until yesterday.

They were sharing a snack after school. D was holding on to the packet and A wanted some more. In response to A's asking, D did the Jedi Mind Trick on her, sliding her hands in the air in the front of A's face while at the same time telling her, "You don't want any." A's response: She did the Jedi Mind Trick on D, saying, "Yes, I do!"
